Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, incorporating the vanilla as you go.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add this mixture to your wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and crushed Oreos. The dough should be thick and well mixed.
- Use a cookie scoop or a spoon to place dough balls onto your baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Leave space between each cookie.
Baking
- Pop in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn a light golden brown but the centers remain soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before scooping. Avoid overbaking to maintain a gooey center.
