Ingredients

For the Pumpkin Filling
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
For the Chocolate Pudding Layer
  • 1 package chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk Cold milk for mixing
For Assembly
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies For the 'dirt' effect
  • as needed gummy worms For garnish
  • as needed plastic cups For serving

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate pudding mix with the milk. Whisk until completely smooth and let sit for about five minutes to thicken.
  2. In another bowl, stir together the pumpkin puree, whipped topping, and pumpkin pie spice until combined.
Assembly
  1. Start layering the plastic cups with a layer of chocolate pudding.
  2. Add a layer of the pumpkin mixture, then another layer of chocolate pudding. Continue alternating layers until the cups are full.
  3. Sprinkle crushed chocolate cookies on top to create a 'dirt' effect.
  4. Add a gummy worm on top for garnish.
Chill and Serve
  1. Refrigerate the cups for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator, tightly covered. The gummy worms may lose their appeal over time, so add them just before serving.
