Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and sea salt. Set aside.
- In a separate large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugars together until creamy and light.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Sprinkle a tiny pinch of flaky sea salt on top of each cookie.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges look set.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Freeze unbaked cookie dough for up to three months, baking directly from frozen.
