  • 8 oz Dark Chocolate Use high-quality chocolate for the best results.
  • 1/2 cup Butter Use unsalted butter.
  • 1 cup Sugar Sweetens the brownies and contributes to the gooey texture.
  • 2 large Eggs Essential for binding and texture.

  • 1/2 cup Nuts Chopped walnuts or pecans.
  • 1/4 cup Caramel For a rich experience.
  • 1 tsp Mint Extract For an added layer of flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8 × 8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in short intervals and stirring until smooth.
  3. Add sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
  6. If desired, fold in your optional add-ins like chocolate chips or nuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature. Avoid overbaking to keep brownies fudgy. Letting brownies cool completely helps achieve perfect slices. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
