Ingredients
  

Cookie Base
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
Decorations
  • 1 container green buttercream frosting store-bought or homemade
  • to taste chocolate chips optional for decoration
  • to taste candy eyes optional for decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs. Stir until well blended, ensuring there are no lumps.
  3. Use a spoon or cookie scoop to portion out the dough, rolling each portion into a ball.
  4. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them.
  5. Slightly flatten the balls of dough with your fingers and create a small dip in the center.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Decoration
  1. Once the cookies are completely cool, spread green buttercream frosting into the center dip of each cookie.
  2. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the frosting and add candy eyes if desired.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. Best enjoyed within a week but can be frozen for longer shelf life. Always separate layers with parchment paper if stacking.
