Ingredients
  

Crust and Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Ensure it is melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Filling
  • 2 cups fresh blackberries Choose ripe berries for best flavor
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the flour, rolled oats, both sugars, melted butter, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl until well mixed.
Creating Crust and Topping
  1. Press half of the mixture firmly into the bottom of your prepared pan to form the crust.
Preparing Blackberry Filling
  1. Toss the fresh blackberries gently with the vanilla extract and pour evenly over the crust.
Adding Crumble Topping
  1. Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the blackberries.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the filling is bubbly.
